I am excited to announce that Skye has been acquired by Sounding Board! We chose to partner with Sounding Board because they share our mission and vision to transform organizations through leadership coaching and an emphasis on partnering with coaches to accomplish that mission. Skye, for me, started from an unlikely place: meeting Jessica through our study group at Columbia Business School. What began as studying together turned into discussions about building something impactful and helpful for others. Later, as we did a hike on Bear Mountain with many other CBS friends, we convinced Gabriel to join us on our journey to transform the executive coaching landscape. For me, this is the human connection that made Skye special and helped us to rapidly launch a B2C marketplace connecting transformational coaches with equally transformational leaders and entrepreneurs. From there, our mission and vision of what Skye could only grow as we were pulled in by demand and need to support equally visionary and ambitious leaders from all industries and organizations of all sizes, from the Fortune 100 to public companies and growth stage startups. I’m proud of everything we’ve accomplished, but at the heart of it was the human connection that brought our team together - Darren, Mark, Avery, and Michael - and made everyday a joy. I’m thankful for our over 200 extraordinary coaches, our amazing investors who believed in our vision and team, and the many amazing and extraordinary people we’ve been able to partner with across this journey. Now, with Sounding Board as our partner, we’re more excited than ever to accelerate Skye’s mission and redefine leadership development on a larger stage. To our investors who believed in us early on—thank you. I want to call out Peter Boyce II, our lead investor, who has been a key partner to the Skye team from the very beginning. And to our Skye team, especially my inspirational cofounder Jessica Wolf Lord—thank you for leading from the front and pushing us every day to dream and deliver more. This is only the first and certainly not the last company we’ll build together! To our Skye community: thank you for being part of this journey. We couldn’t have made it here without your support and trust. And to the many believers, supporters, and well-wishers, thank you so much as your energy helped drive our energy to continue to do more and do better each and every day! I will be sharing more reflections and learnings from my journey in the coming months, and revealing what new challenge I’m tackling next. Stay tuned. Skye's the limit!

    CEO & Co-Founder @ Skye (acq. by Sounding Board) | Forbes U30

I’m thrilled to share the news—Skye has been acquired by Sounding Board! We chose Sounding Board for their world-class coaching expertise, community-driven approach, and innovative platform to help accelerate Skye’s mission and impact. The inspiration for Skye came from my time at Forbes, where I saw talented Under 30s striving to advance their careers yet struggling to find targeted support. I realized there was a missing piece in the coaching world—a need for coaching that matched leaders with experts who understood their specific industry and functional roles. To answer mine and the U30 community's needs, I convinced my Columbia Business School classmate Tony L. to solve this problem with me. We launched Skye as a consumer platform connecting individuals with coaches who understood the nuances of their specific roles. Picture product leaders working with a former Director of Product at Airbnb, or GTM leaders with a VP of Business Dev at Meta. Recognizing the challenges of a fragmented coaching market, we built a suite of SaaS tools to help coaches manage and grow their businesses—establishing a new standard of excellence in a decentralized space. We eventually scaled to enterprise, serving Fortune 500s and public companies with senior leader executive coaching solutions. I’m incredibly proud of the trusted name we built in the leadership development space. We welcomed over 200 exceptional coaches to our platform, raised multiple rounds from supportive investors, and assembled a team of brilliant minds in product, engineering, and GTM. Now, with Sounding Board as our partner, we’re more excited than ever to accelerate Skye’s mission and redefine leadership development on a larger stage. Really happy Christine Tao will be carrying on Skye’s vision. Our customers and coaches are in good hands. To our investors who believed in us early on—thank you. A particular thanks to Swati Mylavarapu, for pushing us to think bigger, and Peter Boyce II, our lead investor, who advised and met with me every month for two plus years. He is a testament to having the right partner in your corner. And to our Skye team, especially my thoughtful and strategic cofounder Tony L.—thank you for the many late nights deck building, financial modeling, screen sharing, support desk responding and cookie eating. Here’s to this being the first of many companies we’ll build together (if you aren't sick of me yet). To our Skye community: thank you for being part of this journey. We couldn’t have made it here without your support and trust. And to all of you who have followed along, appreciate you. For those interested, I'll be sharing reflections and lessons from my entrepreneurial journey in hopes they’ll be helpful to others. Excited to reveal what’s next soon! The Skye’s the limit.

Here's an interesting thought from skye Coach Diana Gore, MS, PCC's blog on perception. Look at the picture below ⬇ Who is right? The correct answer? BOTH! 💡 Often in the workplace, people can see only their perspective, like viewing a 6 or a 9 from different angles. This limited view can lead to conflicts within teams and important relationships. Without examining our own perceptions and recognizing that multiple interpretations can be valid, these conflicts can grow, harming collaboration and progress. The solution? Mutual Understanding. I simplify LinkedIn & Social Selling - Founder // 1X Exit // Investor

Just a few years ago I was a solid B (+) player, hit quota every month or so but never on leaderboards or presidents club trips. Simply getting by. Professionally and personally. To be honest, I probably would have continued on that path if I didn't get access to a coach. I was reading the books. I was meeting with my manager. I was watching the call recordings. I was doing role plays with my peers. I was hitting all of the activity metrics. But still, just a B (+) player. Then it all changed. Started meeting with a coach twice a month. We didn't read books. He wasn't my manager. We didn't review all of my calls. We didn't do role plays with each other. He didn't tell me to do more with activity. To be honest, we talked about "sales" very little. Instead. We worked on my mind. We worked on my goals. We worked on my boundaries. We worked on my expectations. We worked own my whole person. We worked on my executive communication. We talked, every other week. Just us. Mainly me. Here is what happened 👇 I became happier. I made more money (since that time, 4x my yearly income) My family had more of me. I started to enjoy sales again. My company made more money. All because a company decided to spend a few thousand dollars on a B+ player. Y'all. This is why I will forever be in this industry. This is why I work at Skye. Because I can guarantee that when you invest in your people, their quality of life will go up and to the right and so will your organization's revenue. Alright, back to prospecting now. Diving into some sustainability reports to {command f} coaching and leadership development because well, I did it yesterday and booked 2 of the biggest meetings of my year!
