Today marked an exceptional occasion with the celebration of the 2024 Indiana Philanthropy Awards. It was an honor to serve as chair of the committee that organized this meaningful event. I'm inspired by the outstanding philanthropic efforts happening across our communities and incredibly grateful to have played a role in recognizing and celebrating such impactful work. Congratulations to all the honorees we celebrated today (most are pictured below)! Hank Rosso, the visionary founder of The Fund Raising School at the Indiana University Lilly Family School of Philanthropy, once said, "Fundraising is the gentle art of teaching people the joy of giving." These words capture the heart of what makes this work so meaningful. I love what I do! A huge thanks to the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) Indiana Chapter, the planning committee, and our keynote speaker, and thanks to our many generous sponsors (Indiana University Lilly Family School of Philanthropy, The Fund Raising School, Eskenazi Health Foundation, Delta Faucet Company, Indianapolis Zoo, Johnson, Grossnickle and Associates, Lilly Endowment, Loring, Sternberg & Associates, Riley Children's Foundation, Black Onyx Management, Inc., Firefly Children & Family Alliance, Indiana University Melvin and Bren Simon Comprehensive Cancer Center, The Catherine Peachey Fund, Peace Learning Center, Hamilton County Community Foundation, St. Richard's Episcopal School, and Tindley Accelerated Schools).
