JUST RELEASED | A new Age Wave and JAHF survey, conducted by The Harris Poll, uncovers significant disparities in health care satisfaction among older adults and highlights the need to focus on increasing healthspan—the period of life spent in good health—rather than just lifespan: 👉 Rural residents report lower satisfaction with the health care system than urban counterparts 👉 Women express greater concerns about longevity than men 👉 People of color face unique challenges, including lower self-reported financial well-being These findings add to the growing body of research that shows our health care system is not meeting the diverse needs of our aging population. JAHF is committed to promoting equitable, age-friendly care for all older adults.
