After the printing press, every book looked the same, and way to gauge If the book is good now, depends more on substance than hand-writing. 𝐋𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐎𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 → 𝐓𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐒𝐩𝐞𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐬 Memorized speeches once showed real talent. With teleprompters, everyone sounds equally polished, making it hard to tell who’s genuinely skilled. ~11 months ago, I stepped into Shark Tank - confident, curious & ready to kill it. Looking back now, that moment was not just a pitch; it changed the way how the nation thinks about Intervue.io. Seeing myself on TV was surreal. I’ve always considered myself to be a fearless risk-taker; but it's one thing to believe you're courageous in private and it's another to confirm it frame-by-frame on national TV. Apart from the impact that it had metric-wise, it made me realise that whatever you are building can look 10x sexier if your story telling is right. And of-course all of this is nothing if the product does not deliver what you claim it will deliver. 𝐇𝐢𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐤𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐝 𝐚 34𝐛𝐧$ 𝐠𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐭. 2007: Apple launched iPhone. Nokia dismissed it as a passing trend. 2008: Android enters the market, offering more flexibility. Nokia then realizes, a new OS is required, but struggled to hire skilled software engineers to build it. 2009: Nokia begins development on the new operating system, but were stuck in 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐞𝐰 𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐥, that slowed down hiring. Meanwhile, Apple and Android increased their market share. 2010: iPhone 4 & Android phones captured the market. Nokia’s was still on outdated Symbian system. 2011: Nokia partners with Microsoft to use Windows Phone, abandoning its internal OS project. The move was too late. Developers/users now preferred iOS & Android. 2013: Nokia sells its mobile division to Microsoft for $7 billion, down from a peak valuation of $150 billion. 🚨 The Lesson: Delays in hiring the right tech talent cost Nokia time, innovation, and market share. In tech, slow hiring = missed opportunities. Speed isn’t just a bonus—it’s survival.
