He is recognized for his ability to execute flawlessly and facilitate change management and is a champion for continuous improvement planning and implementation. He holds a B.S. in Manufacturing from Iowa State University and an MBA from Mount Mercy University. Intertrade is a fast-paced, entrepreneurial business that offers new challenges every day. 🌟 EMPLOYEE SPOTLIGHT🌟 In honor of #InternationalBossDay, we’d like you to meet Shawn Bergquist, Director of Intertrade. As Director, Shawn provides leadership, strategic direction, and overall execution responsibility for its growing commercial and defense aviation spares and service segments business. Bergquist holds a BS in Mathematics Statistics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.  Bergquist served 12 years on US Army active duty assignments as an Infantry officer and Comptroller participating in numerous contingency operations and deployments. Following the Army, Bergquist transitioned to the business sector where he gained 6 years of GE Capital leasing and financial experiences prior to joining the aviation industry in 2005. Since joining Intertrade in 2008 as a senior leader responsible for procurement and logistics activities, Bergquist was subsequently promoted to managing director of Intertrade in 2014. He continues to lead in this capacity today. Bergquist enjoys the entrepreneurial spirit and can-do attitude of his colleagues which makes Intertrade a fun and rewarding place to work. It goes without saying that the aviation industry is exciting from the products and services that we sell to having to successfully navigate the ever-changing environmental conditions that keep our problem-solving skills sharp. Fun Facts – Bergquist is an avid chef, ice fisherman, college football fan and bicyclist in addition to being a proud Husband and Father to 3 adult children and 1 granddaughter.
