We are thrilled to announce one of the #TransportationInnovationZone (TIZ) permitted projects in partnership with Orange Sparkle Ball, Inc.! Penny Pickup, the robotic food waste pickup pilot, was developed in collaboration with Intermode, Human-I-T, and Ecosphere Organics, with additional support from the Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) and NextEnergy This pilot program enables residents and businesses in the area to schedule the pickup of various materials—including plastic grocery bags, small electronics, and commercial food waste—via autonomous ground robots. These materials will be distributed to the proper end-of-life destinations for processing, recycling, and refurbishment. Presenting Penny Pickup! Recently, Orange Sparkle Ball had the honor of presenting Penny Pickup, our micromobility logistics platform, in Partnership with Intermode and Ecosphere Organics to the Automotive Press Association at Newlab. It was a wonderful opportunity to explain our future vision for our pickup platform and get valuable feedback from individuals focused on innovation in mobility. It was a pleasure to work alongside Michigan Economic Development Corporation who established the event (it's always a pleasure to see and connect with Justine Johnson, Michigan's Chief Mobility Officer), the FINN Partners team, who orchestrated the event, and present alongside the Cavnue team, who is working on innovative road safety monitoring.
