As Chair of the INSA Security Policy Reform Committee, I highly recommend adding this to your near-term reading list ...
Today, INSA released its Presidential Transition Memo: Building a Secure Tomorrow, which offers actionable recommendations for the incoming Administration to address within its first 100 days to strengthen the Intelligence Community (IC). Learn more: https://lnkd.in/ec-_NPfG Developed with input from INSA’s policy councils, thought leaders, and subject matter experts, the memo provides practical steps to improve workforce readiness in AI and cybersecurity, streamline security processes, and enhance collaboration between government, industry, and academia. “These recommendations provide a clear, actionable framework to help the Administration deliver immediate impact while supporting long-term success for the IC,” said Suzanne Wilson Heckenberg, President of INSA. By focusing on achievable improvements, the recommendations aim to position the IC for greater efficiency, innovation, and agility in meeting national security challenges.

Today marks the 20th anniversary of the Intelligence Reform and Terrorism Prevention Act (IRTPA), a pivotal moment that reshaped the U.S. intelligence community. The IRTPA established the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, strengthening collaboration across (the now) 18 intelligence agencies. Over two decades, it has driven: ⭐ Greater integration and information sharing across the IC. ⭐ Improved analytic capabilities and adoption of emerging technologies. ⭐ Stronger partnerships with allies, academia, and industry. We honor the vision behind this legislation and the progress achieved in support of the U.S. national security mission. #IC #nationalsecurity #oneteamonefight
