At Independence Bank, our employees in Madisonville come together each year to contribute personal funds for a local nonprofit organization. As we approach the end of 2024, we are proud to announce that our team has selected The Salvation Army as this year’s recipient. A check was presented at the Salvation Army’s annual community Christmas lunch this week, with the donation earmarked for the Red Kettle Campaign. For over 130 years, the iconic bells of the Red Kettle have symbolized Christmas compassion. Supporting basic needs is a core value here at Independence Bank, and we encourage others to join us in making a lasting, positive impact in our community. Donations to The Salvation Army of Madisonville provide shelter, warmth and vital support to families in need, helping to create brighter futures that extend well beyond the holiday season. #HereForGood

The holiday season is all about supporting Local Love. And we celebrated the importance of shopping local with FIVE incredible events that brought our community together during November. From handing out reusable shopping totes and discount bags to hosting a golden ticket market with amazing prizes, our goal was simple: to help local businesses shine. Together, we helped increase foot traffic for 100's of local businesses, handing out over 1,000 reusable tote bags packed with deals, and saw so many of you come out to support your neighbors. Shopping local means more than just a purchase—it means investing in the heart of our community. Thank you to everyone who joined us in making this initiative a success and let's keep the Local Love going! www.1776bank.com/locallove

Our Lexington team had the opportunity to not only sponsor the The Nest Reindeer Express, but to roll up our sleeves and help get the donations organized and ready for tomorrow! 🎁 The Reindeer Express provides hundreds of local families with brand new toys, books, art supplies, coats and so much more for their children for the holidays. There will be some very excited and well-deserving kids having their season brightened with these presents!

As many spend time focused on what they're grateful for this time of year, we’d like to take a moment to recognize those who devote their time to helping lift up our communities. More than two dozen non-profit organizations across Kentucky allowed our bank employees, directors, and their families to volunteer their time a little over one month ago. The 450 employees associated with Independence Bank left inspired, energized, and grateful for the work being done in 15 counties across the Commonwealth. The place we call home is better due to the passion and sacrifice our non-profit leaders bring to those they serve. Thank you to everyone who contribute to our first annual Day of Good!

Today, Independence Bank proudly continued its annual Day of Giving in Mayfield, distributing $4,000 across five incredible local organizations! Our team began the morning at the Purchase Area Development District, supporting the Silver Bells program, which brings joy to Kentucky’s nursing home residents during the holidays. From there, we visited the YMCA to advance its mission of nurturing a healthy spirit, mind, and body for all. We then stopped by CASA of Graves County and Western Kentucky to support their advocacy for abused and neglected children, Graves County ASAP to assist in their fight against substance abuse, and finally, the Community Christmas Connection Store, which helps brighten the season for families in need. These meaningful contributions were made possible thanks to proceeds from our tractor drive and our most recent ham fundraiser. Thank you to everyone who helped make this day of giving possible—together, we are making a difference! #DayofGiving #HereForGood
