NEWS: On November 8, President Biden announced a safeguard measure on fine-denier polyester staple fiber (PSF) imports in response to a Section 201 safeguard case filed by U.S.-based fiber producers. The President enacted an import quota, NOT a tariff-rate quota, on PSF imports under the Temporary Importation under Bond program, which is predominately used for woven textiles and apparel. INDA and nonwovens producers played a key role in advocating for the industry, with INDA’s Wes Fisher presenting concerns to the Trade Policy Staff Committee during a public hearing held at the Office of the USTR. https://lnkd.in/eDRHj2wi #Nonwovens #TradePolicy #PSF #IndustryAdvocacy #GovernmentRelations Administration’s announcement with all of the details outlined: https://lnkd.in/e4MV-uec
