In order of appearance, here are our most beloved gems of the day: 🗃️ Your professional junk drawer has treasures you should use. 🎬 You can make amazing videos using your phone. 📺 Digital signage is the missing piece. 🎙️ Your company has a gospel and it's our job to share it. 💰 If you don't invest in culture, you'll end up paying for it. 👥 Your employees will fuel your culture...if you let them. 🤴 Leaders are people, too! 🧁 Cupcakes make every meeting better. 🫶 Go to therapy. The Employee Comms & Culture Flyover Festival started as a little South Dakota dream last year and has soared into its second year as the BEST event for internal comms pros in middle America. We're making workplace magic in Sioux Falls with Workvivo - by Zoom, MangoApps, and ScreenCloud and a whole bunch of expert flight attendants who are here for your comfort, safety, and learning. Did you know that burnout affects over 76% of employees at some point in their careers? The pressure of corporate life is felt by all of us but perhaps not nearly as acutely as Black women in communication roles. Join Deme and Mirasha of The Lotus Club for an honest, intentional conversation about the resources and community available to Black women in comms and how white colleagues can demonstrate meaningful support. We’ll have lots of time for questions, conversation, and opportunities for enacting change.

Ever feel like working in internal comms is...well, a 💩 show? SO many members jumped off their corporate thrones today to commiserate, laugh, win EPIC prizes and most importantly problem-solve. 🫶 We're sending big stinkin' piles of gratitude to Debra Helwig and Laniece Williams- Green M.S. for pitching the idea and co-hosting! 🌈 Here are a few of the super duper helpful insights: 💩 Laniece developed a decision tree to prioritize requests. 💩 Debra encourages an "Ugly Brain Dump" to get everyone's ideas on paper. 💩 Rhonda delivered the CEO's newspaper an a successful attempt to build a stronger relationship. 💩 You should create an Encyclopedia of Christine (IYKYK) with "keystone people" in your org. And oh yeah, Random Acts of Cookies are always a good idea. 🍪
