Last week, I had the opportunity to host a roundtable breakfast at Westminster alongside Doug Brady, Global VP of Huntsman Building Solutions and Marta Zoladz, Government Relations Director. We brought together UK Members of Parliament, Labour Party advisors, Department of Business and Trade representatives, and other key stakeholders with the objective of discussing the critical role of insulation in cutting energy consumption and advancing the UK’s net zero ambitions. We stressed that achieving these goals depends on effective insulation schemes—ones that make accessing innovative technologies like polyurethane spray foam straightforward and practical—ensuring the UK can meet its energy efficiency targets and deliver immediate relief through lower energy bills, sustainable construction, and reduced carbon emissions.   During my visit to London, I also met with advisors to the Prime Minister at Downing Street and Members of Parliament to advocate for the urgent adoption of policies that not only promote insulation but also support a robust industrial strategy. Huntsman remains very committed to the UK, with our manufacturing sites creating the chemical solutions that enable innovative technologies like spray foam. However, a competitive market fueled by affordable energy and a stable regulatory framework is essential to ensure these innovations remain viable. Their willingness to collaborate gives me encouragement, but real change requires serious and urgent action now.   At the UK Chemical Industries Association council meeting, I joined other leaders in highlighting the importance of a strong industrial base and local supply chains. These are critical to supporting sustainable technologies and achieving the UK’s ambitious net zero targets, yet they are at risk unless meaningful changes to policy are implemented.   Now is the time to act. Let’s build on this momentum and turn discussions into action. We organized 2️⃣8️⃣0️⃣0️⃣ educational workshops in 200 cities for a group of 6️⃣3️⃣ 3️⃣5️⃣0️⃣ children! And all this would not have been possible without a group of 1,200 volunteers - employees of companies and associations involved in our program. We had the opportunity to hear about the importance of boosting employee engagement through non-financial strategies during a panel discussion with the following experts: Dorota Franczukowska (PwC Polska), Anna Paszkiewicz (Akamai Technologies), Julia Pardała (Jagiellonian University), Paulina Zych (she/her) (Huntsman Corporation) and Marek Kaszczyc (Insurnavi).
