Hi friends, hoping you have suggestions for car repairs for our two Season for Caring families. Do any of you know mechanics who may be willing to help? Ana Martinez' car is badly in need of repairs -- in fact, it's so unreliable that they are hesitant to use it. Our other Season for Caring family, Jazmin Campbell and her mother Renee, need equipment to make their van wheelchair accessible. If any of you have suggestions, we would love to hear them. Every year Harrell Funeral Homes recognizes someone in hospice who has a compassionate heart and is inspiring in their selfless devotion to others. This year they awarded April Long, a chaplain for Hospice Austin, with their Heart and Hope Award. It was the amazing stories of compassion and dedication that families were continuously sharing about April that earned her this award. Well-deserved and congratulations, April! We are thrilled you were recognized for your kindness and service to our families during their time of need. A local newlywed couple, Carson and Sarah, donated their beautiful flowers -- designed by florist David Kurio -- to our staff at Hospice Austin's Christopher House. David Kurio's videographer came to Christopher House to make the donation and a video about the interaction. We are grateful for the flowers and also grateful for the chance to see our staff shine! Hospice Austin’s Christopher House proudly celebrated its Community’s Choice award alongside its exceptional staff! Keisha Jones and her team go above and beyond, ensuring every patient and their family members feel truly special. The clinical and support staff at Christopher House provide comfort and joy, celebrating each patient’s end of life with compassion and dedication. Hospice Austin’s Christopher House was voted as the area’s best hospital/medical center in the Austin American-Statesman's 2024 Community Choice Awards! Statesman's readers also voted Hospice Austin as the best hospice for the sixth year in a row!! We will be hosting a celebration soon for all our staff with a P. Terry's Burger Stand. Thank you, P.
