  • Connecting with our communities is a core pillar of our ESG commitment, and local partnerships like the one with Table to Table at Newark Liberty International Airport allow us to make a difference through the work we do every day. “Across our more than 2,000 travel retail and food and beverage locations in North America, there is a tremendous opportunity to have a positive impact in the communities we serve. We are proud to partner with Table to Table at Newark Liberty International Airport to help ensure that less food ends up in landfills and more of it finds a way to the tables of those who need it. We look forward to growing this program to fight food insecurity throughout New Jersey,” said Jordi Martin-Consuegra, Chief Operating Officer, North America, Avolta.

Table to Table has begun rescuing a range of food, including "grab and go" sandwiches and salads, from numerous HMSHost and Hudson locations within Newark Liberty International Airport, a first in our 25-year history 🛫 🥗. “Next time you walk through Newark Airport and notice all the fresh food at these retailers and restaurants—know that every week, all that surplus food is being safely picked up and delivered to people who need it,” said Heather Thompson, Table to Table's executive director. Table to Table can rescue this food thanks to Food Donation Connection and our incredible partnership with them. • ’Tis the season! 🎄 Kudos to the HMSHost team at Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT) for leading such a terrific initiative and bringing cheer to so many families. The Festival of Trees is a wonderful opportunity for travelers and airport employees to donate to a charitable organization, and also demonstrates our commitment to support local communities.

Festival of Trees is helping spread holiday cheer in the terminal and give back to those in need. Twenty trees located on the Concourse A Expansion are decorated in various themes, each with a QR code that allows #CLTairport passengers and employees to donate to a charitable organization. A second QR code lets everyone vote on their favorite tree through Dec. 28. The winning team will receive a trophy. Spearheaded by HMSHost, CLT’s food and beverage concessionaire, Festival of Trees further aims to foster strong partnerships among Airport tenants and partners who dedicated hours decorating the trees with their own special touch.

Here at Avolta, we recognize December as Volunteering month, which makes now an opportune time to recognize the many volunteers who give back and support communities across the globe. HMSHost, Hudson, and Dufry team members from coast to coast are building connections in the communities they serve. We’re excited to celebrate them and their selfless contributions throughout the year! Journey For Good Foundation

  • On this Giving Tuesday, we are grateful for the travelers who have donated to Journey For Good Foundation. Through their generosity, we are able to make a positive impact through our dining venues across North America and create connections with the communities we serve.

Today, we are proud to announce a record-breaking grant cycle, awarding nearly USD 1 million to 39 organizations across North America dedicated to fighting poverty. This milestone brings the Foundation's total giving in 2024 to nearly USD 1.5 million benefitting over 40 communities across the U.S. and Canada. “We are tremendously proud to increase our impact so significantly since Journey For Good Foundation’s formation just seven months ago, allowing us to support a wider range of initiatives addressing the root causes of poverty,” said Journey For Good Foundation President Paul Mamalian. “This milestone demonstrates the incredible commitment of Avolta team members and partners across North America, who work tirelessly to uplift their communities through sustainable practices, volunteerism, and charitable giving. It is exciting to witness how the collaborative efforts of HMSHost, Hudson, and Dufry Group have truly amplified our reach and effectiveness."
