The convergence of the typical year-end slowdown and this year's presidential election resulted in a predictably slower month for new deals in November. However, we continue to receive consistent feedback from intermediaries indicating strong anticipated activity in the coming year. Hidden Harbor Capital Partners experienced another strong month of deal flow in October, marking the fifth consecutive month of outperforming the same period in the previous year. With the election now behind us, we anticipate a relatively quiet M&A market through the holiday season and year-end. However, feedback from our investment banking counterparts indicates that presentations are being written and deals are being prepared for launch next year. Optimism surrounding the expected extensions of corporate tax cuts and a more relaxed regulatory environment could be the catalyst needed to move the inventory of assets that has been building over the last few years. While we welcome this bullish outlook, we remain vigilant regarding interest rates. The divergence between the Fed Funds rate and the yield on the 10-year Treasury is noteworthy and could signal a bond market that will ultimately focus on larger, more complicated structural challenges.

Yesterday, the Hidden Harbor Capital Partners Business Development team had an action-packed day with back-to-back meetings at the ACG South Florida conference in Aventura. It was an excellent venue, and it was great to see such strong attendance! As we wrap up this year’s conference season, we’re reflecting on the valuable conversations and connections made.
