HelpAge USA advances the rights and inclusion of older people around the world through research, advocacy, and programs.
About us
HelpAge USA works with our global network of affiliates and partners to implement programs and policies that improve the lives of older people in the world's poorest communities. We ensure that older people are included in international development and have access to emergency relief, income security, health services, and basic human rights. The HelpAge vision is of a world in which all older people fulfill their potential to lead dignified, active, healthy and secure lives. HelpAge is driven by a fundamental understanding that older people have the wisdom and the personal drive to contribute to their own well-being and to that of their families. We work globally to ensure that people everywhere understand how much older people contribute to society and that they must enjoy their right to healthcare, social services and economic and physical security. HelpAge International has six regional centers coordinating our work in Africa, East and South Asia, Latin America, the Caribbean and Eastern Europe/Central Asia. We work to address the issues that affect older people worldwide, including health, human rights, access to decent work and in emergencies. Since its inception in 1983, the HelpAge network has grown to over 100 affiliates and many more partners in 80+ countries across the world.
