2024 has been a tremendous year for the geographic expansion of the Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association! December created a memorable close to the year, as we celebrated the openings of HBA Melbourne, HBA Sydney, and HBA Istanbul. These new additions marked an incredible THIRTEEN new locations opening around the globe in 2024 for our United Force for Change!! Each new location expands our mission and ability to serve our members, partners, and the broader healthcare ecosystem. When we set out to intentionally grow our geographic footprint in 2023, we rallied a tremendous group of HBA volunteer supporters, both long-time members and new leaders who were inspired by our mission and vision. We are also continually fortunate to have the support of the amazing HBA staff who fuel our gender equity mission and partner tirelessly with our volunteers to drive results. Not only did we set a record with the number of new location openings, but we built new and improved tools and processes to support our growing family. Here is a list of some of the amazing individuals who have contributed significantly behind the scenes in supporting volunteers in our new locations: Sandra van Londen, Lieseke Cortoos, Nitheen Kaperi Sanyal from our EMEA Operating Board, Imen Elloumi-Hannachi, PhD from our North America Operating Board, Vanesa Honisch Rph, MBA, Uma Bhatt, Dr.Aseel Al-Sagarat, PharmD, Jiawei Tang, Deborah Barretto, Joanna Lim, Natty Sanchez from our Geographic Expansion Team. Each of these leaders gives generously of their time, skills, and passion to help support the development of others and our collective HBA mission. I am honored to have the opportunity to work alongside them as a volunteer.
