This manufacturer needed a solution to laser smoke and dust collection from a high-production coil laser. The coil steel laser is one of the highest-contaminant-generating processes due to the continuous feeding of material from the steel coil. The high dust loading presents a significant environmental, health, and safety concern. The new system needed to maintain a constant, reliable air volume, with strong cleaning capabilities and high efficiency that can manage continuous airflow using IVEC set point. Hastings solution; The IVEC IHCDC with MERV16 primary filters, post HEPA filters and IPS2 blower controller. The system included a spark drop out, pressure sensing control, and high-pressure blower.     With field start-up and commissioning by IVEC, the system maintains constant airflow throughout the production process by continually adjusting blower RPM.
