Did you know habits make up about 40% of your daily actions, according to a Duke University study. That means nearly half of your life runs on autopilot: so why not program it with good stuff? Bad habits might feel easier at first because they activate the brain’s reward center immediately, but good habits win the long game. For example, brushing your teeth twice daily reduces your risk of heart disease by up to 25% according to recent health studies. It’s Wild right? The trick to building good habits? Hack your environment like to set your workout clothes by your bed, keep a water bottle within arm’s reach or swap junk food for healthy snacks in plain sight. Soon, those small changes will turn into something big. #habit #habitmile #routine #good #bad #goodhabits #life #work #habits #practice #lifegoals #study #notion #templates #health #wealth #productivity #hobby

Green ego : Red ego. Which side are you on? Have you ever encountered someone who seems to always be seeking validation, defensive & quick to judge? Or maybe you've met someone who is open-minded, empathetic and always eager to learn? These two behaviors are often set in two different mindsets: the red ego and the green ego. What's a Red Ego? 1️⃣ Fear-based: Driven by fear of failure, worked about rejection. 2️⃣ Ego-centric: All about "me,me, me" 3️⃣ Defensive: Reacts to criticism and feedback with defensiveness. 4️⃣ Fixed mindset: Believes abilities are fixed and cannot be improved. Eg: A red ego might respond to negative feedback by blaming others or making excuses. So, what's a Green Ego? 1️⃣ Growth-oriented: Focused on learning, improvement and personal growth. 2️⃣ Empathetic: Understands and cares to the needs of others. 3️⃣ Open-minded: Welcomes new ideas and perspectives. 4️⃣ Growth mindset: Believes abilities can be developed through effort and practice. Eg: A green ego might use negative feedback as an opportunity to learn and improve. Well how to cultivate a Green Ego? - Mindfulness: Look into your thoughts and emotions, pay attention to them when you sense it's a red ego. - Be Vulnerable: Share your weaknesses and learn from others around you. - Practice Gratitude: Focus on what you have, not what you lack. - Seek Feedback: Use constructive criticism as an opportunity to grow. - Prioritize Relationships: Build strong connections with others. By understanding the difference between these two mindsets and consciously choosing the green ego, we can create more positive and productive relationships, both personally and professionally. #habitmile #habits #ego #mindset #lifestyle #routine #worklifebalance #health #wealth #productivity #hobby

Isn't this interesting! we often hear about routines, consistency and habits in our lives. By default, we develop some routines and habits that form easily on their own without much effort or thought. For example brushing your teeth or having your morning coffee are habits that develop naturally. However, there are other habits like exercising regularly or hitting the gym that require conscious effort and consistent tracking to maintain. With this in mind, we explored what can be considered symmetric and asymmetric results from our efforts over time: 1. Symmetric results: These are results that match the effort you put in. For example, if you spend one hour exercising today, you burn a certain number of calories today. The result is immediate and directly tied to your effort. 2. Asymmetric results: These are results that come after consistent effort, often showing little to no immediate result but offer something later. For example, learning a new skill like coding or consistently investing a small amount of money each month might not provide instant result, but over time these efforts lead to something bigger. Check out the blog to know more on Asymmetric results (Link in comments) #habitmile #habits #symmetric #asymmetric #results #consistency #routine #health #wealth #blog #productivity #hobby #work #life #balance #ebook #guide #community

Did you know? Motivation comes AFTER productivity and not BEFORE We’ve all been there waiting for the motivation to get into our mind before start a big task. It could be cooking, cleaning room or even with an office task. But here's the surprising part- motivation often comes up after you begin. It’s the work you do that gives inspiration, not the other way around. Once you start working, your brain builds momentum and that’s when the motivation kicks in. But how do you get started when you don’t feel motivated enough? Use the Eisenhower Matrix, a tool to prioritize your tasks effectively and get started. Here's the breakdown: 1️⃣ Urgent & Important: These are your high-impact tasks. Do them first and feel productive fast. 2️⃣ Important, not Urgent: Schedule these next. They’re necessary for long-term progress. 3️⃣ Urgent, not Important: Delegate what you can. Free up your time and energy. 4️⃣ Not Urgent or Important: Eliminate these. They’re time-wasters. Once you’ve prioritized using this matrix, just start with the most important task without waiting for motivation. The key is to just start with something. Even small steps create the momentum you need to get the productivity. Once you’re in flow, you’ll find yourself more motivated and inspired to finish your tasks. #motivation #habitmile #habits #inspiration #work #task #productivity #Eisenhower #tool #tasks #plan #health #wealth #hobby

Want to build new habits? Do you know about Priming!? It's giving your brain a little nudge in the right direction. By placing certain things around you, you can remind yourself to do things you want to do like working out or eating healthy. Like how? - Choose your cue: Decide what will remind you of your goal. - Place it in the right place: Put it where you'll see or hear it often. - Take a look: Over time, your brain will connect the cue with the habit, making it easier to do. Check few examples: 1. Place a gym bag by the front door: This can prompt you to start your exercise on your way out of the house. 2. Keep healthy snacks visible in the fridge: You would choose healthy food over unhealthy ones. 3. Listen to some jazz and upbeat music while getting ready for work: This can make you feel positive and energized to work and be more productive. Think of these examples and use this method to improve your habit building. #habitmile #habits #priming #habitbuilding #health #wealth #productivity #new #humans
