Exeter College has been proud to deliver the Level 3 Award in Training and Education to a diverse cohort of construction industry professionals. Representatives from these organisations will support the College in delivering sustainable construction training in the future. Boost for UK’s #GreenSkills with appointment of former #Skills Minister Rt Hon Robert Halfon as Honorary Chair of the Green Skills Advisory Panel (GSAP). Green Construction Advisory Panel (GCAP)>>Green Skills Advisory Panel (GSAP). As the newly re-named #GSAP we are on a mission to close the #greenskillsgap and provide entry routes into green careers by establishing a UK-wide framework. We aim to upskill the current workforce and educate new entrants to adopt emerging technologies, consider the environmental impact of construction, engineering and manufacturing, and identify how industry can help meet #NetZero targets. Our newly appointed National Partnership Board is Chaired by Mike Blakeley of Exeter College with Graham Hasting-Evans of NOCN Group and BACH British Association of Construction Heads, Nick Miles of EWI Pro, Charlene Wall of The Wood Manor Group, Paul Brown MCGI MInstLM of SWIFIX Ltd, Giles Bradford of Bradfords Building Supplies Ltd, Natalie King LLB MBA PgDip of AccXel Construction School and Luke Moss of Exeter College as Board Members. Establishing the National Partnership Board, presents a timely opportunity to  establish the strategic vision for GSAP. During the first two years of existence,  GSAP has established a model of collaboration among stakeholders across the  Construction and the Built Environment community. This, in turn, has led to the  development and delivery of new training programmes, establishment of 20  GSAP centres throughout the UK, international partnerships via the British  Council, and investment to improve green skills delivery throughout the  education and training system. GCAP is a member-led committee of over 500 building services, housing, and construction businesses, supported by local authorities, charities and training providers across the United Kingdom. Last month, both Coleg y Cymoedd in South Wales and The Sheffield College in South Yorkshire successfully launched their respective GCAP's. The groups will work in collaboration with Government, Employers, Training Providers and FE partners to ensure a joined up solution. On the 2nd of October, both Steve Bolt and Luke Moss represented GCAP and the Green Skills Sector at Sidmouth College.
