For more than a century, the Greater Milwaukee Foundation has helped individuals, families and organizations realize their philanthropic goals and make a difference in the community, during their lifetimes and for future generations. We are home to more than 1,500 individual charitable funds, each created by donors to serve the charitable causes of their choice. The Foundation deploys both human and financial resources to address the most critical needs of the community and ensure the vitality of the region. Started in 1915, the Foundation is one of the oldest and largest community foundations in the world.

Each year, we present several prestigious awards to people who bring greater opportunity, diversity and progress to the Milwaukee region. This year’s Greater Together honorees include Nicole Robbins, Damian Buchman, John Schlifske and Brad Pruitt. Last year we recognized Maureen L. O'Leary Guth with our annual Herbert J. Mueller Outstanding Professional Adviser of the Year. And the accolades for her have not stopped! This year alone, she was named to the Wisconsin Law Journal's PowerList of Estate Planning Attorneys and was named a Leader in Law by BizTimes Media. Her firm was named a Best Places to Work winner by the Milwaukee Business Journal and a Best Women-Led Law Firm. Maureen also was named a Women who Leads by the Wisconsin Law Journal and a Legal All Star in the Women in the Law category. We're so happy to see someone like Maureen - who is so dedicated to her clients and her community - receive this type of recognition for her work!

We believe honoring the legacy of Beechie Brooks is incredibly important for the impact that he had on development in Milwaukee. We are happy to support this project in Halyard Park, which is one of the neighborhoods surrounding our new office at ThriveOn King.
Beechie O. Brooks developed Milwaukee's Halyard Park subdivision. The neighborhood is raising money for a statue in his honor.
