GovTech4All's Pilot 1 on quantumsequrity just had its first technical review meeting in Athens, Greece 🇬🇷. This meeting, held at GRNET - Greek Research & Technology Network's headquarters, brought together all team members to assess the project's current status and quality. During the meeting, progress, use cases, and strategies to increase user engagement and collaboration with similar projects were discussed. 🌟 Participation Report for Projectathon #5 written by Dimitris Massaad We are pleased to report our participation in Once-Only Technical System (OOTS) Projectathon #5, held on 20,21 and 22 of November 2024, as representatives of GRNET - Greek Research & Technology Network and the GovTech4All project. The event brought together a diverse and vibrant community from all the member states participating in the OOTS project, providing an excellent platform for collaboration and knowledge exchange. The atmosphere was dynamic, with numerous representatives from government, industry, and academia engaging in discussions to advance cross-border interoperability and innovation. 🌏 💡 During the event, along with Direction interministérielle du numérique (DINUM), we had the opportunity to meet and discuss with members of the organization team the objectives and progress of our pilots under the GovTech4All project, particularly the Secure Cross-Border Information Sharing initiative (pilot 1). These discussions offered valuable insights and reinforced the alignment of our goals with the overarching objectives of the OOTS framework. It was an absolute honour to deliver the welcoming address for the GovTech4All Partners' gathering at the SMART CITY EXPO in beautiful Barcelona. Here are three key takeaways from the event: 1️⃣ Pan-European Collaboration: The digital transformation of European society depends on pan-European collaboration. Each region, locality, and organisation brings unique strengths that, when harnessed in synergy, not only bolster innovation but also foster vital knowledge exchange. This collaboration connects partners with varying levels of maturity in digital technologies and innovation procurement, enriching all involved. 2️⃣ Unlocking the Potential of European Startups: Europe has a vast reservoir of exceptional startups eager to contribute to digital transformation. Tapping into this talent pool is essential for delivering top-tier digital public services to citizens across Europe. 3️⃣ Value of the Mini Prize in Open Innovation: The addition of a mini prize in the open innovation process and design contest provides startups with an extra assessment opportunity and a stepping stone without requiring them to invest substantial resources without assurance of winning. A heartfelt thank you to all the speakers for their insightful presentations, including J.Ignasi Bonet Pocino, Pau Molinas, Paula Ferraté, Alex Garate Arrazola Garate, iago romero, Alonzo Romero, and especially Albert Tort for highlighting the potential of GovTech4All and the power of pan-European collaboration for digital transformation. And a special thanks to Dani Marco for his outstanding moderation and the smooth, well-executed organisation of this stellar event. 🌟 GovTech4All at Projectathon 5! 🌟 We are thrilled to announce that GovTech4all will be participating in Projectathon 5, taking place from November 20-22 in Brussels. This event is organized by the European Commission and focuses on innovation and collaboration within the Once-Only Technical System (OOTS). In one of the pilots in GovTech4all regarding the Secure Cross-Border Information Sharing, we have developed a use case for students' applications processes between Greek and French universities using a post-Quantum secure and authenticated data transfer via OOTS .
