Did you know summer is the best time to shop snow? When you finally sit down and think about your needs as a property manager there may be a few things that run through your mind. First, who am I hiring? Do they have the equipment, the personnel, the expertise to keep my property safe during the winter?Second, does my current contractor do what they promise? Have they been tested? "Tested" - what exactly does that mean? As you look back over the past few years the amount of total snow fall has been minimal. You start to question if going with the cheapest bid is the best policy. You know you have to keep your property owner happy, but the most important task is to keep the patrons safe. Then, the "what-ifs" start to roll in. What if we get a 60+ inch winter? What if my current provider doesn’t have enough equipment or reliable equipment?
