Life Science Cares Bay Area is helping GLIDE transform lives. Their support allows us to serve thousands facing hunger, housing insecurity, and substance dependency. From serving meals to packing hygiene kits and holiday food bags, their volunteers have brought relief to over 10,000 families. They’re also improving community health by funding our integrated mobile services, bringing care directly to our neighbors. Our Center for Social Justice is very grateful to have received a grant from the Creative Work Fund to partner with Skywatchers to offer a series of arts interventions that deepen public understanding of the overdose crisis and effective, loving solutions to save lives. Artists from the Skywatchers team bring lived experience and artistry to address substance use, harm reduction, and recovery. GLIDE is honored to have embarked on this journey with Skywatchers, and we hope to provide education and healing to community members by addressing the overdose crisis. #GlideUnconditionally

Thanks to State Attorney General Rob Bonta and his twenty staffers for visiting GLIDE, sharing tips on avoiding scams while donating, and helping us sort and unpack toys for our Annual Toy Giveaway. Please heed the Attorney General’s advice, and when you donate this holiday season, stick with charities you trust, ensure the charities are registered by checking the oag.ca.gov website, and beware of scam websites that impersonate real charities using similar URLs. Today, the San Francisco Board of Supervisors voted 7-3 to overturn the SFMTA’s RV ban, protecting families living in RVs. This victory is thanks to the advocacy of our CSJ team, the Coalition On Homelessness, and the power of our community showing up together.
