We were thrilled to bring #GlobalCitizenNOW to Melbourne, partnering with the Victorian Government, to invite world leaders, young innovators, and some of Australia’s (and the world’s) biggest names to be part of an unforgettable event. But that wasn’t all! We also gathered over 2,000 Global Citizens for #GCNights – an evening filled with commitments and celebration, headlined by none other than Crowded House. 🌍 One Price for the Planet: The Case for Universal Carbon Pricing 🌍 I’m excited to share my article on the case for a universal carbon price has been published on Global Citizen! The piece explores how a universal carbon pricing mechanism could align global economic policies with sustainability and drive meaningful climate action. For those unfamiliar, Global Citizen is one of the world’s leading advocacy platforms dedicated to achieving the end of extreme poverty, tackling climate change, and promoting equity, powered by a community of millions of Global Citizens who believe in one world, one people - where everyone has an equal chance to thrive. Being published on such a globally respected platform is an incredible honor, and I’m thrilled to have contributed to their mission. This opportunity came through my role as a Research Assistant for Beyond Bretton Woods (BBW), an initiative focused on rethinking global economic systems to prioritize equity and sustainability. I was honored to be chosen for this piece because of my passion for the intersection of finance and sustainability and my work on innovative solutions in this space. I’m deeply grateful to Prof Jon Isham and Frank Van Gansbeke for their invaluable guidance and mentorship throughout this process.
