From AMD SVP Ravishankar Kuppuswamy at #OCPSummit24, “If you took the top of the stack CPU that existed at that time [4 years ago], you can replace 1000 of those, with just 131 modern [5th generation AMD EPYC] processors. This is 68% lesser in power, 87% fewer service, and up to 67% lower career TCO.” Hear more from Ravi in the video below and learn more at https://lnkd.in/ek5VjUpd Open Compute Project Foundation #OCP #OpenCompute #cooptimization #openinnovation #innovation #togetherweadvance #ModernDataCenter #OpenCollaboration #SecureInfrastructure #Sustainability #OpenStandards #ConfidentialCompute #partner

💡 Daniel Newman shared his thoughts about the big picture around AI this morning on Yahoo Finance.
CEO at The Futurum Group. Chief Analyst at Futurum Research. Co-Host of The Six Five Podcast and The Six Five Summit. Co-founder of Signal65.
Beyond just opining on earnings, I relish the opportunity to chat about the big picture around AI with Julie Hyman and Brad Smith this morning in studio at Yahoo Finance. We dove into the outlook for AI. Where is money being made and we got into the conversation about agents and the future of apps in the AI era. Talked about Enterprise Apps and SaaS and its AI evolution going into names like Microsoft, Oracle, Salesforce, ServiceNow, IBM, SAP, and more. Change is coming, it may be a few years before we fully see it, but the enterprise shift will be substantial. 👇🏻 #AI #Earnings #Microsoft

Daniel Newman shares insights on Forbes about the growing prominence of small models in generative and agentic AI.
CEO at The Futurum Group. Chief Analyst at Futurum Research. Co-Host of The Six Five Podcast and The Six Five Summit. Co-founder of Signal65.
My newest on Forbes: The rise of small models for generative and agentic AI. Trillion parameter models are at the cutting edge of an AI powered future, but their size means massive compute requirements and power utilization--why we are seeing hundreds of billions in capex spent on datacenters and billions more trying to stand up nuclear power. Small(er) language and foundation models will set the tone for enterprise. Taking pre-configured infrastructure combined with data, libraries, microservices, and industry specific models will power the enterprise with low cost per token generative AI and agentic capabilities all the while consuming far less power by using only the necessary data to perform tasks. We look at how NVIDIA NIM and IBM Granite 3.0 are powering enterprise AI in my newest op-ed on Forbes. https://lnkd.in/g6hyuqEt #GenerativeAI #IBM #NVIDIA
