We believe technology can help transform education to meet the needs of today’s learners.
About us
We believe technology can transform K-12 education to help meet the needs of today’s learners. Our team of licensed educators and tech experts work continuously to meet the unique needs of school organizations across the country as technology continues to play a crucial role in the classroom. As a Google For Education Certified Partner, our goal is to help expand learning for everyone. Our team understands that no two schools are the same. That's why we've worked to build a community of engineers, teachers, administrators, and Google Certified professionals with a variety of backgrounds to better serve the organizations we partner with. Whether you are a small rural school district with less than 1,000 students or a sprawling public school system with dozens of schools, we can help you find solutions that fit your budget and long-term technology plan. Innovation is the name of the game. We've paved the way for the next generation of professional development for educators and staff with the Five Star Learning Lab. We're talking flexible, relative, customizable material all in one digital location. Or what about powerful dashboards that take the guesswork out of data analytics? Visualize the data most important to your school to help make informed decisions and address learning loss, student engagement, better understand school climate & culture, and so much more. The sky is the limit! And let's not forget the crucial task of cybersecurity and technology infrastructure. School administrators have enough on their plates without having to constantly monitor emerging ransomware and malware attacks, phishing scams, and other threats that can bring learning to a standstill. Our sophisticated solutions offer peace of mind at a price that might surprise you. Our goal is simple - live up to the company name. If you have a K-12 technology challenge, Five Star Technology Solutions is here to help.

This week, I was honored to join Lisa Cutshall and Stephanie Waring from Five Star Technology Solutions as Silver sponsors of the SETDA Conference. With the abundance of conversations, learning and connecting that took place, I decided to share my reflections here in both written and visual formats. ✅ Connecting & Reconnecting Undoubtedly, this was the best part about the conference. Being relationship driven, it gives me energy to meet new people, engage in conversation and make connections. These are some of the new connections I was honored to make. Please forgive me if I left your name off of this list. Duane Shaffer, CETL, Jose Gonzalez, Doug Casey, Charlotte Walker, Andrea Baerwald, Emma-Marie Banks, Emma Braaten, Janelle Horton, Calypso Gilstrap, Jennifer Davis, Jeff Killingsworth, Ryan Imbriale And it was awesome to reconnect with these amazing individuals! Julia Fallon, Tera Daniels Melinda Fiscus, Tim McIlvain, Brian Bates, Erich Grauke, Sean McDonough, CETL, Susan M. Bearden, CETL, CCRE, Kurt Beer, Charlie Jackson, Marc Johnson, Keith Krueger, Carla Wade ✅ Recognition For the second consecutive year, the Indiana Department of Education received recognition. I could be more proud of Brad Hagg and Diana Smith for their amazing work in bringing home the State Leadership Award for Digital Learning. ✅ FCC Pilot I learned from Michael Flood some interesting information about this initiative. Evidently, the FCC is not planning on releasing any additional data beyond what will publicly be available through those who receive approved applications. To be able to truly demonstrate need and acquire future funding through #erate, we need to at least have basic data, such as total number of applicants, number of applicants by state and total funding requests. Advocacy will be needed here. ✅ Accessibility Standards The CAST team of Kelli Suding, M.Ed. and Lindsay Jones did an excellent job putting this in front of us. For me, it brought me back to my days as a technology staff developer advocating for the effective use of technology in the classroom. UDL is super important. I learned requirements are changing for Accessibility Standards in April 2026 and April 2027. https://lnkd.in/gCU2uUYM ✅ Relationships Last, and certainly not least. In fact, if I were listing my reflections in order of importance, this one would be first. What I love most about the SETDA Conference is the structure around fostering relationships. Whether you are a state member or a corporate member, there is a feeling of family and camaraderie. I love being connected with this community and look forward to continuing to cultivate the relationships I've started. Looking forward to SETDA 2025!
