Marriott Hotels acquired outdoor hospitality brand Postcard Cabins (formerly Getaway). A contrast from amenity-rich resorts, Postcard Cabins promises low-maintenance nature escapes. It counts 29 outposts across the US, all located within two hours of a major metro. Hoping to switch off, more consumers are turning to wellness travel and outdoor escapes. From Hipcamp and Under Canvas Inc. to major hoteliers, operators are leaning into slow experiences.
