After a contentious election cycle in razor-close polling, all of the votes have been cast and the results of elections across the country continue to roll-in. What is certain at this point is that Donald Trump has won a second term as President and Republicans have taken control of the Senate and it appears a possibility that the Republicans may maintain a narrow majority on the House. While we are financial planners, and our job is to be objective and remove emotion (as difficult as that is can be at times) from financial decisions, we would be remiss to not acknowledge that elections invoke deeply personal emotions. This campaign and election process, regardless of the outcome, has again brought to the forefront stark divides in our nation on many issues. America is a melting pot not just of people from different races, religions, and cultures, but different views, priorities, and values. These differences make America great, but our democratic process and the protections that America affords all citizens to not only have, but express, those differences and views, is the greatest part of the American way. To that end, while we remain objective and review the investment implications of the Election results, we encourage all Americans, regardless of how you voted, to neither gloat nor despair, to be kind, and to have faith in justice, equality, and democracy—the cornerstones of the America. You can find our thoughts on the Election and implications for investing at: http://smpl.is/9tmfq #electionresults #democracy #america #financialplanning #elections2024 #investingtips #Americanvalues

Following 2016 and 2020, it would have been difficult to predict a more controversial, quickly evolving presidential cycle, but 2024 has kept us all on the edge of our seats. Understandably, many people often feel uneasy about investing during election years. Soundbites from debates and polls fill the airwaves making it difficult to decipher what may or may not impact the markets.
