Native H3 visualization support just went live in Felt. And just like all things we build, it really flies. Here are 3 reasons you have to try it: 1️⃣ On-the-fly binning - select the H3 visualization and watch Felt generate your tessellated hex bins. No pre-binning steps needed. 2️⃣ Auto-scaling - Felt will pick a resolution based your zoom and adjust the bins and legend automatically – now we’re moving! 3️⃣ Instant bin statistics - statistical summaries of your binned attributes are shown in popups so your team can get answers quickly. The best way to make maps on the internet.
About us
Felt is the best way to make maps on the internet. As we face more frequent climate disasters, such as the fires burning in the west, or the unexpected snowstorms in the south, maps are increasingly a part of our lives. We refer to them daily, and yet it is still surprisingly hard to create and share a map ourselves. Felt was founded to make it easy for anyone to think in maps. Felt is the first easy-to-use collaborative mapping app that serves a wide range of use cases, from sketching out a hike with friends, to communicating next steps to a wildfire response unit. Our founders have a proven track record: Sam Hashemi's previous company Remix scaled up to 350+ cities in 17 countries and was one of the largest software acquisition in 2021. Can Duruk was an early engineer at Uber, and runs one of the most popular technology newsletters on the internet. Our distributed team recently raised a $4.5M seed round led by Bain Capital Ventures, with participation from Designer Fund, Allison Pickens, Akshay Kothari, Dylan Field, John Lily, Julia & Kevin Hartz, and Keval Desai. We're growing quickly and always looking for great new members of the team. Learn more at https://felt.com/

This week we gave you complete control over the UI with our new JavaScript SDK. But did you know you can also use the SDK to deliver custom workflows and interactive superpowers entirely within the app? Every click can generate a popup, sidebar or modal populated with an iframe or a custom HTML experience! Sign up for a free trial.

Of all the new features developed by the Felt team, this one is my favorite so far! You can now use the JavaScript SDK to build custom applications on top of any map in your Felt workspace, allowing full creative control over page layout, map interactions, and more!
Today, we’re launching our JavaScript SDK to let you take full control over the UI and build wildly performant mapping apps with that same ease and speed you've come to love. 🚀 Why? Every day, we speak with teams looking for a faster way to build best-in-class mapping apps. These teams want to focus on their core business problems, not the never-ending complexities of mapping software. We started thinking, what if we could give them a faster, more efficient path to build powerful mapping applications? Here are just some of the things you can do: •Integrate maps into your dashboards by listening for map interactions. • Filter data on a dashboard UI and programmatically apply those filters to the map. • Build story maps with interactive scrolling experiences. • Remove the UI and add your own for a fully branded experience. And instead of weeks to build, it takes just a few hours to create apps with Felt. Check out the incredible interactions you can build with Felt’s JavaScript SDK 👇

We've made Felt the easiest place to build maps and dashboards. Today we're doing the same for apps. Our new JavaScript SDK allows your team to build quickly, without shifting the focus of your core business. 👩💻 The possibilities are endless, and our team is standing by to help you get started.

Boom! One of the largest updates to Felt — we now have a full-featured JavaScript SDK that allows you to take Felt to places it's never been taken to. Until today, Felt was both the easiest and the most powerful cloud-native GIS solution. Starting now, it's also the most customizable. You are now able to build your own Felt applications with our JavaScript SDK. You want to build a custom map that shows your own custom data on a popup? Sure! You want to build an app that shows hill profiles while scrolling? Yep! You can even go nuts, and build an actual racing game inside our maps. Honestly, wild!! We have built a first-class developer tooling too, including a fully-typed JS SDK that works great with React, a couple of sample applications, and of course, extensive documentation. I don't need to tell you this is a step-change for what you can do with Felt. Please give it a try and let us know what you think!
