Family Promise of Waukesha County

The opening of the Winter Emergency Overflow Shelter has been delayed until after the new year because of water damage to the facility. A water pipe burst causing a significant amount of damage. We continue to work with our partners to provide shelter to those who need it during the coldest months. We still are seeking supplies for the shelter. They can be dropped off at our Day Center 139 E North Street Waukesha on Wednesday, December 11 between 9am- noon. https://lnkd.in/gi3u6wbu

Join us for the Family Promise Forum: Criminalization of Homelessness on Wednesday October 23. It will be held at the Waukesha Public Library at 6:30pm. Panelists will include Brad Schimel Michael Hallquist Erika Olson Alicia Havesleben and Jason Fink. A couple of the questions that will be discussed are if a person who is experiencing homelessness who is sleeping outside in a public place should they be arrested or fined?
