𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐝 𝐕𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐨 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐀𝐮𝐝𝐢𝐨 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐲𝐞𝐫 - 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐨 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐲𝐞𝐫 Presto Player is the brandable audio and video player tool I use to display videos and audios across the articles and pages of my sites. I use Presto these days after many years as a Vimeo user. Switching to Presto player was an easy choice as it has some really useful features such as muted preview, player branding included and calls to action. But the key reason was cost. Presto offers monthly, annual and lifetime pricing AND doesn’t charge for video storing and streaming allowing you to make use of much more cost effective solutions such as Bunny (see below). 𝐓𝐨𝐨𝐥 𝐓𝐢𝐩 #𝟏 Every video and audio player I’ve come across either doesn’t allow own branding or requires you to buy their most expensive plan to have such a facility. Presto lets you brand your player to match your site and brand as a standard and included basic core feature. https://lnkd.in/eFZVFBJR

Amongst all the headlong pursuit of the perfect prompts to use with artificial intelligence tools there is a widening acknowledgement of the risks, challenges and even substantial downsides to this latest 'Brave New World'. In a wide reaching article, Neil Patel as usual cuts through the champagne fluff and greed to deliver some key reminders to bear in mind. Not all that grows in the AI garden is green and not all it would seem is positive for online business owners and contact creators. https://lnkd.in/erUXawGG

If you've witnessed how the online world has evolved since its very early days, you'll have seen the rise and fall of many new social platforms such as Squidoo, Meerkat or Periscope. This article covers a growing return, rather unsurprisingly, to classic methods of engaging audiences and delivering communications. The re-emergence of classic tools such as articles and blogs and membership sites is fantastic news for ethical business owners who deliver useful and interesting content to their audiences for the long term and don't hitch themselves to this month's current fad. https://lnkd.in/eJ4n9Fs3

𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐝 𝐕𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐨 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐀𝐮𝐝𝐢𝐨 𝐒𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 - 𝐃𝐞𝐬𝐜𝐫𝐢𝐩𝐭 Descript is the tool that powers all of my audio and video recording and editing (plus captions, transcripts and audiograms too). I’ve used a variety of tools such as Camtasia in the past, but Descript is the next generation of video and audio editing and now my firm favourite. It's a powerful but REALLY easy to use tool that anyone can master. The power of Descript lies in how it revolutionises the editing process. If you can edit the text of a document or social post then you can now edit audio and video too! Editing in Descript is based around editing the on screen transcript text of your audio or video. You edit out a word in the text and the audio and video get edited too. Whether you’re tweaking an interview for a podcast or creating a captivating tutorial or YouTube video, Descript has all the tools you need to make your work look and sound professional. I like this tool so much I even got the owner’s permission to use their brand in a training product name – Eze Descript (coming soon!). 𝐓𝐨𝐨𝐥 𝐓𝐢𝐩 #𝟏 Descript offers up to two hours of output a month for free so you can try it out before you decide to buy anything. https://lnkd.in/ecy3kQ2J

After the unmistakable rush to use ChatGPT and other AI content creation tools, like all Gold Rush manias, a new perspective is emerging. There have been worrying examples where AI has made up information about individuals and a string of governments and regulators concerned about privacy and personal data issues are now pushing back against the Wild Wild West free for all that this supposed miracle tool has now displayed. This article from Wired Magazine outlines some of the horrendous examples that AI has created and also briefly covers some of the measures planned. For me, a telling sign that regulation is needed is the fact that anyone who wishes to have their own personal information removed from ChatGPT needs to undertake a lengthy process of research in order for this to happen. Given what has been common practice in other Industries such as financial services for decades, I see regulations and lawsuits aplenty in the very near future unless chat GPT and others follow the same lines as Facebook and Google of making it simple for people to hide their personal data from the world. An AI tool that will output text describing someone as a sexual predator which is completely fabricated is quite justifiably something the tool owners should be sued over. This maybe the tip of the legal iceberg approaching.

𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐝 𝐇𝐨𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 - 𝐖𝐏𝐗 I've used four different hosts in the 20 plus years I’ve had websites and I can easily say that none of them have offered the reliability and in particular customer support that WPX offer for standard WordPress website hosting. Their support is exceptional and every time I’ve approached them I’ve had online chat conversations that have resolved my questions within minutes. As I’m not a server and hosting expert it’s great that they even do changes to things like DNS records so there’s no risk of me breaking anything! They offer free site migrations, fast servers, daily and on demand backups and a very user friendly site management interface. If you’d like a host that provides all the help and support you need, is reliable and easy to use then WPX is a great choice. 𝐓𝐨𝐨𝐥 𝐓𝐢𝐩 #𝟏 They also plough their profits into supporting Dogs that need love and help through their own non-profit 𝐄𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐃𝐨𝐠 𝐌𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬 charity. https://lnkd.in/eY3Ta-4g

Great news for online security - especially if like me you've suffered greatly from a data breach in the past. Google is like several other key organizations rolling out the use of pass key technology as a more secure alternative to the traditional username and password. Anything that increases security with little effort on the user's part is great news in my book. Will you be adopting this new technology?
