December is recognized as Safe Toys and Celebrations Month. According to the American Academy of Ophthalmology, about 10% of children's eye injuries that require emergency room visits are related to toys. It's important to be cautious about toys with sharp, protruding parts or that launch projectiles. Before purchasing any toys, consider the age recommendations. This practice can help keep younger children safe and reduce the risk of serious eye injuries. #SafeToysandCelebrationsMonth #visioncare #eyecare

Ask people about the cost of vision loss and they might bring up driving at night or missing out on a good book. They won’t mention what it costs in lost dollars and lost health. But there’s good news: when employees use vision benefits, companies save in productivity and long-term care. That’s not an expense. That’s an investment. https://b.link/oalv5uul #EyeCare #Vision #VisionCare #Benefits #VisionCorrection #EyeHealth #Wellness

On this World Children’s Day, we’re reminded how critical vision is to learning — 80% of it happens through sight! Regular eye care is essential for helping children thrive in school. Last week, EyeMed teamed up with OneSight EssilorLuxottica Foundation to bring vision care and prescription eyewear to over 300 students in the Cincinnati area. Thank you to all those who volunteered during the event. We’re inspired by your passion for helping students in our local communities see the world clearly. #VisionCare #VisionClinic #CincinnatiOhio #EyeCare

Today we take time to honor military veterans of the United States Armed Forces and thank them for their service to our country. This Veterans Day, we want to also acknowledge EyeMed members of the Mil-Vets, a Business Resource Group (BRG) focused on supporting our veteran employees and military family members. Throughout the entire year, this group hosts numerous community events and remembrance activities, such as leading efforts to build 15,000 Forget-Me-Not “Flowers” in support of fundraising for the Disabled American Veterans (DAV), organizing Toys for Tots drives, and facilitating cross-group discussions exploring the intersections between our military employees and other BRGs. Their willingness to come together and in support of others is a constant demonstration of their courage and selflessness. Thank you all for what you gave and continue to give every day. We’re proud to call you our own. #veterans #veteransday
