Google’s push for solar and wind power at their data centers proves one thing: these renewables will play a huge role in powering World 3.0. Yet, questions about intermittency persist. That’s where the Exowatt P3's dispatchable solar comes in. Our thermal storage technology ensures that the sun’s energy works around the clock, not just when it shines. Solar and wind adoption is a huge milestone—but dispatchable, clean energy is the next chapter. https://lnkd.in/gpbi7t2S #DataCenterInnovation #Sustainability #DispatchableSolar #ExowattPower

Last week, Exowatt had the privilege of attending Deploy24. With energy demand expected to triple in the next decade, fueled by AI and data center expansion, here are our biggest takeaways from the event: 1. Speed to deployment remains a major challenge and hyperscalers are feeling the crunch now. 2. With interconnection bottlenecks slowing progress, behind-the-meter installations, possible with the Exowatt P3, can lessen peak demand and speed up approvals. 3. Collaboration is essential—utilities, hyperscalers, government, and technology providers must work together to navigate grid capacity challenges and accelerate deployment. A big thank you to the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) for hosting a fantastic event and fostering these vital conversations.

The soaring energy demands of AI-driven data centers have the entire industry searching for innovative solutions. To address this, Exowatt's P3 simplifies how energy is created, stored, and used: ☀️ Power: The P3 captures and concentrates solar heat. 🔥 Preserve: It then stores energy as thermal heat. ⚡️ Provide: Finally it converts stored heat to electricity on demand. It's like having a solar-powered generator that can save energy for later use, making it ideal for meeting the massive, constant power needs of AI-driven data centers. CEO Hannan P. and Cody discuss Exowatt's solar-powered approach to data centers on Inevitable. Listen wherever you get podcasts.

The Insane Energy Costs of AI: A Growing Crisis Alex Wilhelm and Exowatt's Hannan P. discuss the staggering energy demands driven by AI adoption—and the lengths companies are willing to go to stay competitive. • Sky-High Premiums: Companies are paying up to 500% more for reliable, behind-the-meter power to keep their data centers running—highlighting the relentless drive to dominate AI. AI Search is a Power Hog: AI-driven searches consume 10-25x more energy than traditional searches, creating unprecedented strain on energy resources. So next time you use OpenAI for a simple query, remember the cost—in energy and environmental impact. Underestimated Growth: Energy forecasts may be way off, with annual growth likely closer to 5-6%, pushing energy infrastructure to its limits. The AI arms race is rewriting the rules of energy consumption.
