    My default is to do it alone. I think it's faster, better. But that's faulty thinking... I spent a day this week with a small venture backed team. They came together to clarify the beliefs that brought them together as a company: their values. Together they shared stories of times when they felt most connected. They named the actions that brought the best out of them. And they visibly grew more effective, more together before my eyes. One of the great lies that we buy into (self included) is that we gotta do it alone. Yet what most of us want, more than almost anything else, is a sense of connection and belonging.
