Meet Vanessa Wade, our Director of Product Development who has been with Estes for almost 3 years! Vanessa's biggest inspiration is her mother, who has been a steadfast supporter of her personal growth. When she's not busy leading product development projects, Vanessa enjoys a variety of hobbies like bowling, hunting, fishing, camping, riding ATVs, baking, and crocheting. Her favorite part of the job is collaborating with the entire Estes team from start to finish on new projects. Her least favorite household chore is cleaning out the chicken coop. And her favorite ice cream topping is all things chocolate! Thank you, Vanessa, for your hard work and dedication. We're fortunate to have you on the Estes team!

Meet our November Rocketeer of the Month, Aaryan Nagarkatti. From an early age, he became fascinated with rockets and planes. When he was six, he launched his first model rocket at NASA Ames Research Center. He still remembers running across the Tarmac, gazing up at that Estes Generic E2X (which he still holds to this day). It was a timeless feeling! Once he moved to the Boston area, he founded the Westboro Rocketry Club at his high school to compete in the American Rocketry Challenge. Using the experience learned, he found his way into the US Spacemodeling Team and competed at the World Spacemodeling Championships that year, winning gold and silver medals! It was never easy, though. Tight constraints and fierce competition meant late nights, long hours, and many setbacks. However, it’s often from here that the real “engineering” comes out! Rocketry will always be a dear part of his life because it has allowed him to delve into the world of aerospace engineering hands-on. It’s also brought him to meet countless fellow hobbyists and learn lessons from them (and with them). In his current chapter of life, he is a freshman at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University studying Aerospace Engineering. In the future, he aspires to enter the aerospace industry and hopefully travel to space someday. Thank you for your incredible support, Aaryan, and best of luck with your future rocketry endeavors! #estesrockets #modelrockets

We’re thrilled to support the Inaugural Rocket Day event at Centennial Elementary School, which is part of a larger initiative by the University of Colorado Colorado Springs (UCCS), the National Defense Industrial Association - (NDIA), and the Colorado Springs Rocket Society (COSROCS) to have every 5th grader in El Paso County to build and launch a rocket by 2026. 800 fifth grade students had the opportunity to build their own Estes rockets with the guidance of volunteers. By providing hands-on experience in STEM, we hope to spark a lifelong passion for these subjects in these young minds. Meet Tristin Buchanan, a Compliance Specialist who has been with Estes for almost a year! Tristin’s biggest inspiration is her husband, who despite a devastating car accident, continues to do the things that he loves. Her favorite part of her job is the helpful atmosphere and nature of her coworkers. When she’s not focused on compliance, Tristin enjoys Facetiming with her niece and nephew whose stories are always entertaining. Her least favorite household chore is cleaning the bird cages. And her favorite ice cream topping is chocolate of any kind! (I agree! 😊) Thank you, Tristin, for all of your hard work! We’re so lucky to have you on our team!

Estes Rockets was honored to attend this year's UP.Partners Up.Summit event where 300 of the world’s brightest innovators gathered to reshape the future of transportation. With over $1 trillion in capital represented by leading investors and the visionaries behind some of the most impactful companies, we united with one goal: transforming the moving world. At Estes, our mission goes beyond launching rockets—we’re igniting the imaginations of tomorrow's workforce. By fostering creativity, innovation, and problem-solving in young minds, we are dedicated to shaping a future powered by explorers and dreamers. This week, we witnessed the future firsthand from electric and autonomous vehicles to EVTOLs, hypersonic travel, space exploration, and many more groundbreaking ideas. In addition to the impressive technology showcase, 3,451 model rockets—designed and built by local students—were launched, each fueled by their creativity and ambition. Estes supplied 6,500 rockets to the entire Bentonville, Arkansas school district, engaging over 19,000 students in the hands-on process of building model rockets. The impact was profound, with the goal to exemplify the importance of introducing young minds to rocketry early to inspire a new generation of tech innovators and ignite limitless possibilities. Together, we’re building a community of learners, explorers, and dreamers—pushing boundaries and soaring to new heights, one launch at a time. Thank you to UP.Partners for hosting us, our wonderful volunteers who dedicated their weekend to help make this launch a reality and to our fantastic sponsors and partners: L3Harris Technologies, Walton Family Foundation, and Walmart, for making this unforgettable experience possible. #EstesRockets #UpSummit #IgniteInnovation #TransformingTheFuture #STEM #FutureWorkforce #Rocketry #ExploreMore #ModelRocketry

Meet Aiden B. Hamilton, a Warehouse Materials Handler here at Estes! Aiden joined our team in May 2024 and has proven to be an invaluable member of the team. His biggest inspiration is his dad and when he's not hard at work, you can find him enjoying his favorite hobbies: gaming and fishing. What's the best part of his job? According to Aiden, it's his awesome coworkers! Aiden's least favorite household chore is cleaning the bathroom (does anyone really enjoy that chore?). And when it comes to ice cream toppings, his favorite is pretzels (fantastic choice if you ask me!). Thanks, Aiden, for your hard work and dedication. We're so lucky to have you on our team!

Meet our September Rocketeer of the Month, Adam Knippa. His rocketry story began like many rocketeers. When he was in middle school, he got his first model rocket—the Estes Mini Honest John. From that day on, he was hooked. He quickly started to collect kits such as the Taser Twin and the EPM-010 and not long after started to get into designing his own rockets. When he got to college, he dove into the world of high-power rocketry. He grew his knowledge and skills rapidly through the NAR certification process and participating in competitions such as NASA Student Launch and Spaceport America Cup. At AirFest XXX, he was finally able to successfully launch his Level 3 high power certification! Adam's sights are now set to continue to learn and grow his skills through flying more high-power two-stage flights. It is because of his amazing mentors, such as Jim Jarvis and James Duffy, that he has the knowledge and ability to design rocket kits that are sure to teach, challenge, and inspire the next generation of rocketeers. He strives to become like those who have helped get him to where he is today and continually return the favor by giving back as much as he can to rocketry. Thank you for your incredible support, Adam, and best of luck with your future rocketry endeavors! 🚀 #modelrocketry #rocketryjourney #estesrockets
