ESOP Alliance

Today, we are excited introduce you to the Events Committee of the ESOP Alliance Leadership Team. The Events Committee is comprised of Britt Bruinsma and Joseph Piligian. The Events Committee is responsible for planning in person events for the ESOP Alliance, including our recent happy hour in Las Vegas. The Events Committee also helps members coordinate in person meetings at other industry conferences. Keep an eye out for future information from the Events Committee regarding an upcoming event at the Professionals Forum in February 2025. Thank you for your continued support of the ESOP Alliance!

Today, we are excited to introduce you to the Membership Committee of the ESOP Alliance Leadership Team. The Membership Committee is comprised of Rebecca Glasgow CFP®, CEPA® and Kip Kuster, QKA. The Membership Committee is responsible for interviewing new members and ensuring that the ESOP Alliance is well diversified with members across all areas of the ESOP industry located throughout the nation. If you are interested in joining the ESOP Alliance or know of someone who might be a good fit, please reach out to members of the ESOP Alliance Membership Committee. The ESOP Alliance Leadership Team was recently formed to support the continued growth of the ESOP Alliance. Over the next few weeks, we are excited to share information regarding the Leadership Team Committees and how they will support the ESOP Alliance going forward. Today, we’d like to introduce you to the ESOP Alliance Programming Committee, comprised of Katie Wilusz Long, ASA, CFA, Holly Jones, Jake Helwick, ASA, and Brian Lowe. The Programming Committee is dedicated to organizing monthly programming for the ESOP Alliance that supports the continued education of all of our members. ESOP Alliance is one year old! On behalf of the ESOP Alliance founders, Shane Ocasal and Serena Amlie, CFA, ASA , we’d like to thank all of our members and partners for their support over the past year. We look forward to continuing to provide quality programming for our members to support them as ESOP industry professionals. We’ve recently formed the ESOP Alliance Leadership Team which we are confident will help support continued growth and improvement of the ESOP Alliance. Thank you to Joseph Piligian for leading yesterdays ESOP Alliance discussion concerning the outcome of a recent lawsuit regarding the RVR, Inc. ESOP transaction. Joe’s presentation sparked a great discussion amongst members regarding negotiation processes and documentation in an ESOP transaction, what constitutes control and how should it be handled in a valuation, and much more. Thank you to all who attended and participated in today’s discussion.

Today's ESOP Alliance meeting featured a presentation from Rebecca Glasgow CFP®, CEPA® from RBC Wealth Management about the ins and outs of Section 1042 Exchanges.
