Advance diagnosis & treatment of acutely ill/injured patients via imaging & enhance teaching/research in Emergency Rads

About us

ASER MISSION: To advance the quality of diagnosis and treatment of acutely ill or injured patients by means of medical imaging and to enhance teaching and research in emergency radiology. HISTORY: In 1987, while attending Harvard’s emergency radiology course, eight radiologists met to discuss the formation of a new group to define and disseminate the body of knowledge unique to emergency radiology. The American Society of Emergency Radiology was formed in 1988 from this small nucleus and has steadily increased in numbers, now with hundreds of members dedicated to the advancement of Emergency Imaging. Since 1995, the society membership has sponsored Emergency Radiology, in which peer reviewed articles are presented and discussed. ANNUAL MEETING: The ASER annual meeting is the pinnacle of the ASER year, with unparalleled scientific and educational content, hands-on workshops and numerous networking events. The annual two day trauma "head-to-toe" course is a fabulous resource for radiologists at all levels of training who are interested in the field of Emergency Imaging. The meeting attracts Emergency Radiologists from all over the world for an in-depth discussion and review of a broad variety of Emergent and Trauma topics.
