Enviroworks is looking for a dedicated and experienced Senior Environmental Assessment Practitioner to join our Cape Town team. If you’re hardworking, proactive, and ready to make a difference, we want to hear from you! Key Responsibilities: Conduct environmental assessments for permits (EIA, water and waste licences, mining permits) in line with South African legislation. Oversee environmental compliance and perform audits. Manage multiple environmental licensing projects simultaneously. Act as the on-site environmental liaison, resolving issues as they arise. Ensure adherence to internal procedures and maintain client satisfaction. Perform mapping, GIS work, and data analysis. Review technical documents and mentor junior staff. Requirements: BSc Honours in Environmental Sciences or a related field (MSc is a plus). 5-6 years of experience in Environmental Consulting. Experience in the renewable energy sector. Strong knowledge of NEMA and EIA processes. Proficiency in project management and excellent report-writing skills. Valid driver’s license. Registration with EAPASA (SACNASP registration preferred). In-depth understanding of South African Environmental legislation. Positive attitude and strong communication skills in English. Willingness to undergo a criminal background check if required.
