Curious what's in store for 2025? Enterra CEO Stephen DeAngelis gives his thoughts, from Climate Change to Quantum Computing 📈 Read more below #2025Predictions
2025 and beyond will bring monumental change to the business and economic landscape. By 2030, three powerful forces—climate change, artificial general intelligence (AGI), and quantum computing — will collide, reshaping our world in ways we’ve never seen before. #ClimateChange alone is already driving drastic shifts, with rising temperatures, melting ice caps, and increasingly severe storms forcing populations to move away from the equator. This cataclysmic shift in where people live will ripple through economies, infrastructure, and resource allocation. #AGI will be the most significant scientific event – possibly in mankind’s history. It will change everything and create great opportunities for achievement and great risk for humanity. Man will be creating a non-human intelligence form that we do not know yet how to control or co-exist with yet. #QuantumComputing, when partnered with or driven by AGI, has the potential to unlock incredible breakthroughs in the quantum world with epochal advances in chemistry, materials science, drug discovery, and medical advances to name a few applications. Yet, they also open the door to risks like autonomous weapons, quantum computer-powered code breaking and cyberattacks. This mix of opportunity and danger will push businesses, governments, and all of us to rethink how we adapt and steer these changes. These three powerful forces will dramatically change the world that we live in. Companies and individuals will need to adopt systemic resiliency in order to survive and hopefully thrive in this Brave New World. Let me know your thoughts below.

When 14 major U.S. ports shut down in September, handling 25% of imports and 27% of exports, the ripple effects highlighted the #CPG sector’s growing vulnerability to disruption. With a potential $4.5B daily economic loss on the line, this was a stark reminder of why systematic resiliency must be a top priority. Stephen DeAngelis, breaks down how AI-enabled modeling, contingency planning, and workforce development can help CPG companies navigate uncertainty and turn disruption into opportunity. Small language models (#SLMs) have the potential to level the playing field because they don’t require large-scale computing infrastructure but can be designed to be trusted from existing, efficacious sources of corporate knowledge. Building initial trust in an SLM or corporate knowledge base will allow users to scale #AI use across an enterprise. However, positioning any language model to perform AI-powered advanced analytics does not happen overnight. Our Founder, President and CEO Stephen DeAngelis explains why SLMs will still need extensive training before they’re ready to tackle complex supply chain management tasks in this PYMNTS article. https://bit.ly/48tF3Ft
