Last week we had the honor of hosting a CE event entitled Trauma-Informed Care and Treatment: Going Beyond the Catchphrase and Increasing Capacity for Healing which was facilitated by Dr. Ramona Roberts, LP, CCTP-II, CCS, CET The training explored the intersection of trauma and substance use disorders, an introduction to sociometry and experiential work and the value of supporting a healthy relationship with feelings as it relates to healing. On December 5th, Encore Outpatient’s team gathered for the remote viewing of the celebration of life for Rev. Jack Abel, Caron’s Spiritual Care Team Leader. For more than 15 years at Caron, Rev. Jack touched many lives with his kindness, wisdom, love, and unwavering dedication to our community, offering guidance and support through so many of life’s moments. He was a champion for our patients and their families and for the role of spirituality in recovery because he understood that recovery is rooted in healing the spiritual pain caused by addiction. His legacy of faith, love and service will remain a part of who we are and will continue to live on in all our hearts - inspiring hope, healing, and strength for generations to come.
