Many thanks to the The Presser Foundation for their support of our mission. And thanks to Daniel Jackson for writing this powerful reflection and review of our recent concert in Abington, PA. We are grateful. 🙏🏾
"On this memorable evening, Elevation not only educated an eager audience about the richness of African American composers but also showcased the potential of a culturally diverse ensemble performing music from the Black Diaspora. Under the skillful guidance of Mr. Harley-Emerson and Dr. Harrison-Jones, Elevation exemplified how excellence and authenticity in choral performance can be both exhilarating and liberating." In this blog post, Graduate Music Fellow Daniel Jackson takes us to Abington Presbyterian Church, where Elevate Vocal Arts' professional ensemble Elevation showcased its talent and how it is "a significant cultural force in the realm of vocal arts." #elevation #elevatevocalarts #choral #music #professional #authenticity #excellence #grantee #graduatemusicfellow #greaterphiladelphia
