As professionals, guiding individuals in eating disorder recovery toward setting meaningful intentions instead of rigid resolutions can foster self-compassion and sustainable growth. Intentions focus on values and purpose, creating a supportive framework for progress. Here’s how to structure this process with your clients: 1️⃣ Define What They Want: Encourage clients to identify personal goals rooted in their values—whether it’s improving relationships with food, building self-confidence, or cultivating mindfulness. 2️⃣ Explore Their Why: Help clients uncover the reasons behind their goals. Understanding the "why" strengthens motivation and creates a connection to deeper aspirations. 3️⃣ Map Out the How: Support clients in breaking intentions into manageable, actionable steps. Guide clients to embrace flexibility, celebrate progress, and focus on the journey rather than perfection. Let’s make 2025 a year of intention and authenticity for those in recovery. #EDCare #EDRecovery #ProfessionalSupport #NewYearIntentions #MentalHealth

Social media is shaping children’s diets and body image in troubling ways. Platforms often expose kids to unrealistic body ideals and #DietCulture trends, which can increase the risk of eating disorders and other mental health challenges. This article emphasizes the need for awareness and proactive education to help kids navigate social media responsibly. It’s a call to parents, educators, and professionals to support healthier conversations about food, body image, and self-worth. #EDAwareness #SocialMedia #BodyImage #MentalHealth #YouthWellness

The public focus on celebrities' bodies, like Ariana Grande's, highlights a larger issue: the societal obsession with appearance and its harmful impact. This fixation can perpetuate unrealistic beauty standards, fuel diet culture, and trigger harmful behaviors, particularly in those vulnerable to eating disorders. Let’s shift the focus to kindness, compassion, and self-acceptance for all. #BodyPositivity #EDAwareness #MentalHealthMatters #SelfCompassion
