In a holiday surprise, the #FCC’s Enforcement Bureau directed 2,411 companies to cure deficiencies in their Robocall Mitigation Database (RMD) certifications or explain why their certifications should not be removed. The deficiencies are due to lack of required information and robocall mitigation plans. Removal would require other providers to stop accepting calls from these companies. There are two important exceptions to the TCPA’s DNC rule of which callers should be aware. One involves the called party’s prior express invitation or permission.
