  • Congratulations to East Liverpool City Hospital, member of Prime Healthcare Foundation for achieving the CMS 5 Star Rating for 2024!!! This outstanding rating reflects the high level of healthcare provided by ELCH physicians and employees for East Liverpool City Hospital patients. The CMS organization annually assigns star ratings to U.S. hospitals based on 46 hospital quality measures, which are divided into five quality categories: safety of care, mortality, patient experience, readmission rates, and timely and effective care. The CMS rating system was launched in 2016 to help patients and caregivers make informed decisions when selecting a hospital. Hospitals report quality data to the CMS through multiple reporting programs, and the data is reviewed and standardized to calculate hospital star ratings.
