In this article, I explain how Microsoft Clarity handles bot visits and why you still see visits from "𝐠𝐭𝐦-𝐦𝐬𝐫 {.} 𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐭 {.} 𝐜𝐨𝐦" in your project (I included a fix, too). Here is my last article for the year (2024), and in this article, I aim to achieve just three things; 1️⃣ Show you how to confirm if your Microsoft Clarity project is blocking bot traffic and how to filter bot visits if you are not already (the easy part). 2️⃣ Secondly, I will share my arguments and thoughts about measuring bot interactions in Clarity. 3️⃣ Lastly, explain why you still see visits and behavioural data on the "𝐠𝐭𝐦-𝐦𝐬𝐫 {.} 𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐭 {.} 𝐜𝐨𝐦" domain even after configuring "𝐛𝐨𝐭 𝐟𝐢𝐥𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠" for your Clarity project and what you can do about this (two solutions that you'll like). If you want to still have a read, then here is the article: https://lnkd.in/daviSbS3 I hope you enjoy it. You can share your feedback as well (your thoughts are welcome). #MicrosoftClarity #Analytics #DumbData

🔔 Piwik Pro Day kicks off today, and I've published a new article to help you identify, troubleshoot, and resolve transaction/order tracking issues in your Piwik Pro e-commerce setup. Earlier this year, the first article published on the DumbData blog was a practical guide on identifying, troubleshooting and fixing 14 common Piwik Pro e-commerce tracking issues (link in the comments). However, this latest blog post focuses specifically on situations where your Piwik Pro e-commerce tracking is only missing transaction data in your analytics reports or some order data points. In the guide, I outlined 11 potential causes for these issues and provided solutions to resolve them. Check out the article here: https://lnkd.in/d-MEH4UR You can also still sign up for Piwik Pro Day using the link in the comments. #PiwikPro #PiwikProAnalytics #EcommerceTracking

My article is now live on the Root & Branch website! In this guide, you'll learn about Microsoft Clarity's "Content Insight" feature in a detailed and practical way. This is a comprehensive guide in which you'll learn how to set up Content Insights and gain a new understanding of how it can help you measure content performance and improve your content marketing strategy. You'll discover step-by-step instructions for setting it up using tools like Google Tag Manager, Piwik Pro Tag Manager, or even through hard coding. Beyond setup, I break down how to interpret the reports, covering many lesser-known aspects of the feature that aren't even documented in Microsoft's official guides (e.g., scoping, etc.). Microsoft Clarity might have automatically configured this feature for you if you're using a WordPress website. However, I recommend validating the setup as I've identified flaws in their default implementation, which I discussed in the guide. I've also included feedback on implementation enhancement for the Microsoft Clarity product team in the article. There's much more in store for you as a reader, so you can use this "Content Insights" more efficiently. Ready for an exciting read? Here's the article: https://lnkd.in/dxtWNDaw Thank you, Zack Duncan, for publishing this piece on the RootandBranch website.
