Disaster Recovery Institute International (DRI) is the oldest and largest nonprofit that helps organizations around the world prepare for and recover from disasters by providing education, accreditation, and thought leadership in business continuity, disaster recovery, cyber resilience and related fields. Founded in 1988, DRI has certified 20,000+ resilience professionals in 110+ countries and at 95 percent of Fortune 100 companies. DRI offers 15 individual certifications, including the globally-recognized CBCP certification, and certifies organizations as resilient enterprises. DRI offers training programs ranging from introductory to masters level across a variety of specialties in multiple languages; online and in-person continuing education opportunities; and an annual conference dedicated to the resilience profession.   • Arlene Lawrence, ABCP, is the Director of Occupational Health & Safety at the Jamaica Customs Agency (JCA). Her core responsibilities are to coordinate and manage the planning, development, implementation and administration of all policies, procedures, and practices regarding occupational health, radiological and environmental programs within Jamaica Customs Agency and ensures their alignment with national and international laws, regulations and standards. A major part of this portfolio is the implementation of the organization's Disaster Preparedness & Emergency Management Programme, which has the main objective of ensuring that the organization is prepared and able to respond to and recover from any emergency. Lawrence has more than 20 years of experience in this field and has served in both the public and private sectors in Jamaica. Her career spans the hospitality, mining and government sectors. She holds a Masters in Public Health (MPH) and also a Masters of Science in Natural Resource Management (Integrated Rural & Urban Development Planning) from the University of Technology and the University of the West Indies, Jamaica. She is an Associate Business Continuity Professional, a Certified Occupational Safety Specialist, and a Certified ISO 22301 Business Continuity Strategist & ISO 31000 Internal Control Risk Analyst. She has been serving as the project lead for the development and implementation of the Enterprise Risk Management Programme within the Jamaica Customs Agency and is a member of the project team for the development and implementation of the Business Continuity Programme. She is a three-time recipient of the World Customs Organization/Commissioner’s award for: 1. Championing the COVID 19 Response, Renewal & Recovery in the Jamaica Customs Agency (2021) 2. Innovation of the #Customsmoves Programme in the JCA (2020) 3.
