Solving the digital divide in partnership with communities.
About us
At Digital Ubiquity Capital (DUC), we are devoted to solving the digital divide in the USA and Canada by developing Broadband Digital Utility projects. As experienced developers, we deploy governance models, advanced technology, financing strategies, and comprehensive management solutions, to create fully functional broadband companies that meet the unique connectivity needs of communities. We believe that partnering with cities, communities and electrical coops to develop Digital Utility projects provides the optimal blueprint to strategize, construct, finance, and expand fiber and wireless broadband networks to cater to the future connectivity needs of cities and counties. Our approach draws on the best methodologies, governance structures, and efficiencies to design, build, finance, operate, and maintain digital infrastructure. We ensure transparency and efficiency via an integrated project governance portal powered by Digital Twin technology. The DUC approach aligns with the needs and aspirations of municipalities and counties. We strive to form public-private partnerships and financing syndicates that develop broadband utilities, anticipating and addressing community connectivity needs both now and into the future. We view digital infrastructure as a pivotal aspect of community development, just as railroads, roads, electrical power, and waterways have been in the past. Join us at DUC in forming a partnership that advances the future of broadband connectivity, ensuring communities remain at the forefront of the digital evolution. Together, let’s build the digital future today.

At DUC (Digital Ubiquity Capital), we believe government broadband funds should be directed toward open networks that enable collaboration and competition while minimizing disruption. This is especially in rural and underserved areas. It's crucial to focus on building resilient, future-proof, and leverage-able digital infrastructure. Open and shared networks foster innovation, ensure fair competition, and give communities access to the high-speed internet they deserve. It’s encouraging to see this approach gaining traction across the USA and Canada. At DUC, we are committed to partnering with municipalities, counties, states, and provinces to develop shared broadband infrastructure that disrupts once, allowing for sustainable growth and greater choice for all. We are committed to helping these networks get built by supplying Digital Infrastructure project governance and financial services. 2025 'the year of execution' for BEAD!? 🤔 We think 2025/2026. What do you think? - It's been a year since we found out how much BEAD money each state will get - Only 15 states and territories have had their Initial Proposals approved, unlocking access to BEAD funds https://lnkd.in/exPhA_k6
2024 hasn't been 'year of execution' for BEAD

“I think we're going to continue to see more open access networks show up in the United States for a variety of reasons. I think there'll be some states under the BEAD structure that are probably going to have conditions or expectations for the government subsidized portion of those networks; maybe need to be built with an open access condition on it. I don't think that will be universal." John Stankey, CEO of AT&T DUC agrees that there are many benefits to an Open Access Network and we expect to see more of them over the next five years. The ability to dig and build once, and have a shared communications infrastructure only makes sense. https://lnkd.in/eD_7Zd-R

In today's era of rapid urbanization, the demand for energy is skyrocketing, straining traditional infrastructure worldwide. Cities are innovating to boost efficiency and sustainability, with smart grids and energy management systems leading the way. These technologies leverage advanced fiber optic technology to revolutionize energy generation, distribution, and consumption, enabling precise monitoring, integrating renewables, managing demand response, and enhancing reliability. For instance, the Pecan Street Project in Austin showcased how smart grid research in residential areas, utilizing fiber optic technology alongside smart meters and energy management systems, can inform more sustainable energy practices at the neighborhood level, highlighting the potential for community-driven solutions. Energy management systems, crucial for smart cities' sustainability, employ data analytics and advanced algorithms to regulate consumption across residential, commercial, and industrial sectors. By incorporating fiber optic technology and fostering a community-centric approach, these systems offer insights into consumer behavior and facilitate the seamless integration of smart technologies, paving the way for more efficient and sustainable energy practices on a broader scale. hashtag #DUC #DigitalUbiquityCapital #UrbanInnovation #SmartGrids #EnergyManagement #Sustainability #FiberOpticTech #Internet #EarthDay
