  • This month marks the sunsetting of the Richard and Helen DeVos Foundation after 54 years. Rich and Helen accomplished their philanthropic work through relationships, so it seemed fitting to honor this milestone by celebrating with the people who partnered with them over the years. Nearly 400 community and nonprofit leaders gathered with the DeVos family to commemorate Rich and Helen's philanthropic legacy and to celebrate all that has been accomplished through partnerships to make our community a truly special place. It was a magical evening of celebrating together!

🎉 Congratulations to JaeEun Yun from Byron Center Christian School for winning our first ever National Civics Bee! 🇺🇸 This week we had the opportunity to host the National Civics Bee before the Grand Rapids Policy Conference. The competition inspired middle schoolers to become better informed about American democracy, to engage respectfully and constructively in the community, and to build greater trust in others and institutions. “Advancing civic engagement and leadership is one way we can create a more prosperous West Michigan,” said Sr. Vice President Andy Johnston. Thanks to our sponsors: DeVos Family Foundation National Heritage Academies and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation for making this event possible!
