Writing a German reference work on 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗔𝗻𝗮𝗹𝘆𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗶𝗾𝘂𝗲𝘀 (SATs) and 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗰 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁. 📓 That was the simple idea four years ago that Randy Pherson, Dr. Oliver Gnad and I discussed in a call lasting about an hour. Because in Germany there are no German-language offerings for this topic. Some people struggle with the English language when it comes to more complex topics. At the same time, there is a need for uniform nomenclature, standardized procedures and consistent processes. 🔁 Today, 4 years later, the book has been published as an e-book. It will be published in print at the end of August. 🎉 I will put the link to the e-book in the comment section. I am glad that Springer Nature Group took into account our wish not to make the book too expensive. After all, we don't want money to be a limiting factor in further professionalizing #intelligence in #Germany. This book is our attempt to make a small contribution to this professionalization. Reality will show whether this can succeed. For the moment, I'm just glad that the e-publication marks the intermediate step towards a hard copy. 𝗧𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗸𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝘄𝗵𝗼 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁. Buckle Up: 10 Billion Passwords Leaked in New Compilation The RockYou2024 password leak is the largest compilation ever, with nearly 10 billion unique passwords. Discovered by researchers at Cybernews, a publication based in Lithuania, it poses severe dangers due to the widespread reuse of passwords. The file combines old and new data breaches. The passwords were verified against Cybernews’ Leaked Password Checker. The massive leak heightens the risk of credential stuffing attacks, which have recently targeted companies like Santander and Ticketmaster.
