📣 2024 Recap! 📣 The 2024 season was truly a fun one, securing the team an overall finish of 6th place in Pennsylvania and Michigan and 9th place in California. The most notable accomplishment from this year is a three-time 1st place Acceleration finish across all three season competitions. A few additional highlights from these events include: a 1st place Hill Climb finish, and a 2nd place Maneuverability finish, and top 5 Suspension and Design finishes in California. In Pennsylvania, we also finished top 5 in Design and Maneuverability. In addition, we secured a 3rd place finish in Hill Climb and top 7 finishes in Design, Suspension, and Endurance in Michigan. At the California competition we had an incredibly sandy weekend, and were on the edge of our seats to watch the new car perform. In spite of the weather, the team acquired a 1st place in the Overall Dynamic event as well as performing well in the Design event, making it to finals. In Pennsylvania, we were pinned against more than just the cars of the other teams. We were faced with major trailer problems that continued into the next school year. But thanks to the efforts of our members and outside help, we are now set with a fully repaired trailer going forward. Aside from that, competing against a total of 107 teams we achieved an overall 6th place finish. As the last race of the 23-24 school year, we said goodbye to our graduating seniors and started preparing for the summer. Huge thanks to Ian Dyke, Jamie Berman, Gaurav Mittal, Franny Coughlin, Jaffer Ali and all the other graduating seniors for their work and contributions to the team this year and in the past! Following the long summer break, we shook down the whole car and reevaluated specific failures to be fully prepared for our last competition of the season in Michigan. We began the weekend with promising placements in the dynamic events and were able to go through all the endurance race with no major part failures. During endurance we finished 53 total laps and ended in 6th position. This allowed the team to get 6th place overall. Going into the 24-25 school year we also had the privilege of bringing 3 running cars to Butler Bash, an off-season competition hosted by Grove City College. This was a super fun learning experience for new members as well as a good testing experience for old cars. We ended with a 1st place finish with the 2024 car and good performances from our older cars as well. Thanks so much to all our sponsors for allowing us to do what we do! Without them we wouldn’t be able to attend all 3 SAE competitions and additional events which provide amazing learning opportunities for the whole team. We can’t wait to see what the 2025 car will bring for our team and we will use all the momentum from these successes to drive us to greater heights! 🎉🏎🛠 #bajasae #cwrumotorsports #cwru

📣 2023 Recap! 📣 The 2023 season was our strongest season yet, achieving our team's first number 1 overall finish at the Ohio competition 🎉 , as well as 5th place in Oshkosh and 6th place in Oregon. Some highlights from these events include top 3 Acceleration, Maneuverability, and Design finishes, as well as a 2nd place Endurance race finish in Oregon. In Ohio, we also finished 1st in suspension and traction and 2nd in endurance. In Oshkosh we had an unbelievably muddy weekend, and were excited to see how our first competition with our new car would go. Despite the inclement conditions, we scored 2nd place in acceleration, and afterwards, we were able to earn the team 4th place in maneuverability. In the endurance race on the last day of competition, we raced for 38 laps and ended in 9th place. All of this helped us achieve our 5th place overall finish in this competition. At the Oregon competition, we first made it to design finals, which was an amazing achievement for our team. We were also able to achieve a 4th place finish in maneuverability and a 5th place result in acceleration. We also made our best result in endurance, ending up in 2nd place out of over 60 teams in the 4-hour endurance race. These achievements brought us to an overall 6th place finish. This was also our last race of the 22-23 school year, and though we are sad to see our graduating seniors leave, we were excited to send them off into their careers. After a long summer, we had all hands on deck to get ourselves in the best shape for our last competition of the season. We were able to bring around 30 members to our home-state competition and were excited to see what the weekend would bring. We started the weekend strong on dynamic day, placing 1st in suspension and traction, 2nd in maneuverability, and 3rd in acceleration. During endurance we finished 56 total laps and ended in 2nd position. These amazing results brought us to 1st overall at the competition! After an extremely exciting and promising season, we are excited to build a whole new car for 2024 and see how we can work off of this season's successes 🎉🏎🛠 #bajasae #cwrumotorsports #cwru
